Cloudy, light rainshowers forecast for most of PHL

The trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will be affecting Mindanao while the northeast monsoon will continue to affect Luzon and the Visayas, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

The state weather bureau is monitoring a LPA that is estimated at 1,290 kilometers east southeast of Mindanao that is outside the Philippine area of Responsibility (PAR). However, the LPA is not expected to enter the PAR and the chances for it develop into a typhoon is low.

With the effects of the northeast monsoon, the Bicol region will be cloudy with light to moderate rains.

In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers.

In eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers. The rest of the Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers.

In Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA. — BAP, GMA News
