Easterlies will continue to affect southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao

The easterlies continue to prevail over southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao over the weekend, PAGASA reported in its early Saturday morning forecast.

The Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms.

The weather bureau warns that flash floods may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast wind speed in northern Luzon is light to moderate moving east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
