Cloudy, scattered rainshowers expected in Metro Manila
A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 860 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur embedded along an Intertropical Convergenze Zone (ITCZ) that will be affecting the Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA reported early Friday morning.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by southwesterly surface windflow.
Eastern Visayas, CARAGA, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the ITCZ and LPA.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms.
The weather bureau warns that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms, light to moderate at times heavy rains.
Wind speed forecast for Luzon is light to moderate moving in the southwest direction while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate.
For the Visayas and Mindanao, wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving southwest to west direction while coastal water condition is slight to moderate.
