An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Visayas and Mindanao on Tuesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Zamboanga Peninsula, Western Visayas, Palawan, and Mindoro provinces will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought about by the southwesterly surface windflow.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

The weather bureau warns that flash floods and landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed in northern and western sections of Luzon will be light to moderate moving southwest to south direction. Coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate.

In the eastern sections of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao wind speed will be light to moderate moving east to southeast direction. Coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate.

The wind speed for the rest of the country will be light to moderate moving southeast to south direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

Sunrise will be at 5:26 a.m. while the sun will set by 6:21 p.m. — BAP, GMA News
