Easterlies to bring isolated rainshowers to Metro Manila


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Palawan and Mindanao on Friday, PAGASA reported in its early morning weather forecast.

With the ITCZ, the Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Bangsamoro, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila, central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Visayas, the rest of MIMAROPA, and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

The rest of Luzon will be cloudy to partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers.

The weather bureau cautions the public that flash floods and landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast wind speed for central and southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be light to moderate moving eastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

For the rest of the country, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving east to southeast while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
