Southwest monsoon to bring scattered rains to most of PHL
The southwest monsoon will be affecting the western section of Luzon on Saturday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
The Ilocos region and Zambales will have monsoon rains due to the southwest monsoon. With the southwest monsoon, flash floods and landslides are possible due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, the rest of Luzon and MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms also due to the southwest monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau warns that flash floods and landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
The forecast wind speed for northern and western section of Luzon will be moderate to strong moving southwestward while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving south to southwest while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
