Rainshowers expected in western Luzon due to the southwest monsoon
The southwest monsoon will be affecting the western section of Luzon on Tuesday, PAGASA reported in its 24-Hour Public Weather forecast.
Pangasinan, Bataan and Zambales will have monsoon rains brought about by the southwest monsoon.
Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, La Union, Benguet, Cavite, Batangas and the rest of Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms also due to the southwest monsoon.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms.
The weather bureau warns that flash floods and landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
The forecast wind speed for Luzon is moderate to strong moving southwest to southeast while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
In the Visayas and Mindanao, the forecast wind speed is light to moderate moving southwest to west while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
