LPA to bring rains to Cagayan Valley, CAR and Aurora
A low pressure area (LPA) on Saturday will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora.
As of 3 a.m., the LPA was estimated at 455 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora, PAGASA reported.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA also reported that flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.
The forecast wind speed in the northern section of Luzon is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
In the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas, forecast wind speed is moderate to strong moving northeast to northwest while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The forecast wind speed for the rest of Luzon and Visayas will be light to moderate moving northeast to northwest while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
In Mindanao, the forecast wind speed is light to moderate moving southwest while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. —BAP/KG, GMA News
