Rainshowers in Caraga, Davao, Northern Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas due to trough of LPA


Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Central Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA.

Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the easterlies.

The agency added that flash floods and landslides may occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms.

As of 3 a.m. on Friday, the Low Pressure Area was estimated at 795 kilometers east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur while the Trough of the LPA will be affecting the northeastern section of Mindanao.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. The residents are warned that flash floods and landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed in northern and eastern sections of Luzon, and the Eastern sections of Visayas, and Mindanao will have moderate to strong moving eastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

For the rest of the country, wind speed forecast is light to moderate and moving east to northeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
