Cloudy skies with scattered rains in Metro Manila, most of Luzon due to northeast monsoon


The northeast monsoon will continue to affect Luzon on Saturday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Marinduque, Romblon and Mindoro provinces will have cloudy skies with scattered rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The agency said flash floods or landslides may occur due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains brought about by the northeast monsoon.

The Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy skies to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau adds that flash floods or landslides may occur due to severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed in northern Luzon is strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will be rough.

For the rest of the country, the forecast wind speed is moderate to strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.
