Cloudy skies, scattered rains in Mindanao due to trough of LPA


The trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will be affecting Mindanao while the northeast monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas on Saturday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA. The weather bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The forecast wind speed in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao is strong moving northeastward while the coastal waters will be rough.

For the rest of the country, the forecast wind speed is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough. — BAP, GMA News
