Marinduque, Romblon, Bicol, Visayas, Mindanao to have scattered rains

A low pressure area (LPA) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting Mindanao on Sunday, and will bring cloudy skies, scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Marinduque, Romblon, Bicol Region, Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur during times of moderate to occasionally heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

As of 3 a.m., the LPA was located at 400 km east of Davao City.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao, with wave height reaching as tall as 2.8 meters.

Elsewhere in the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
