Metro Manila, parts of the Philippines, will be cloudy with isolated rains due to the easterlies

A frontal system will be affecting extreme Northern Luzon while the effects of the easterlies will be felt in the Visayas and Mindanao on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the frontal system. The bureau warns the public that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by the easterlies or localized thunderstorms. The affected areas may experience flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed in northern Luzon will be light to moderate moving from south to southwest.

For the rest of Luzon, wind speed will also be light to moderate but moving in the southeast to south direction.

In the Visayas, wind speed will be light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction.

The forecast wind speed in Mindanao is light to moderate and moving eastward to variable. The coastal waters in the country will remain slight to moderate. -- BAP, GMA News
