Cloudy skies, isolated rains forecast in Batanes, Ilocos Norte nearby areas due to the frontal system.


The frontal system will be affecting extreme northern Luzon on Saturday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Kalinga, and Cagayan including Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought about by the frontal system.

In these affected areas, the weather bureau warned, flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides may during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon will be moderate to strong moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

In Palawan and Mindanao, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving in the southeast to south direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The western section of central and southern Luzon will have a light to moderate wind speed moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

The wind speed in the Visayas and the rest of Luzon is expected to be light to moderate moving southward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
