Cloudy, isolated rains over Batanes, Babuyan Islands due to southwesterly windflow


The southwesterly windflow will be affecting extreme northern Luzon on Thursday while the easterlies will be affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwesterly windflow with the possibility that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies or localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau warns that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon is light to moderate and moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

In Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the Visayas the wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving in the southeast to south direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

The wind speed in Mindanao will be light movement is southeastward to variable direction while coastal waters will remain slight. -- BAP, GMA News
