ITCZ will bring cloudy skies, scattered rains, thunderstorms over Bicol, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Mindanao


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao on Friday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ. Flash floods or landslides in these areas may occur, the weather bureau add, due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. There may be flash floods or landslides in these area during severe thunderstorms.

Wind speed forecast for northern Luzon will be light to moderate moving in the southeast to south direction as coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

The wind speed forecast for the rest of the country is light and moving in the southeast to variable direction while coastal waters will be slight.
