NCR, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol, Visayas, Mindanao to have scattered rains due to ITCZ


The Intertropical Convergence Zone, the area where winds from the northern and southern hemisphere meet, will bring scattered rains over Metro Manila and five other areas on Saturday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

PAGASA said the National Capital Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rainfall.

The rest of Luzon meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may also occur during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast temperature ranges for key areas are as follows:

  • Tuguegarao: 26-35ºC
  • Laoag: 25-34ºC
  • Baguio: 17-26ºC
  • Olongapo: 25-34ºC
  • Metro Manila: 25-33ºC
  • Tagaytay: 23-30ºC
  • Lipa: 26-32ºC
  • Legazpi: 25-31ºC
  • Metro Cebu: 26-31ºC
  • Tacloban: 25-31ºC
  • Iloilo/Bacolod: 25-30ºC
  • Puerto Princesa: 25-30ºC
  • Cagayan de Oro: 23-32ºC
  • Valencia: 19-29ºC
  • Metro Davao: 25-32ºC
  • Zamboanga: 25-32ºC

 

No gale warning was raised. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate in Luzon and Visayas, and slight in Mindanao.
