Cloudy skies, scattered rains forecast for Mindanao, most of the Visayas, MIMAROPA due to ITCZ

An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Visayas and Mindanao on Friday, PAGASA reported.

Mindanao, Western and Central Visayas, and MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ. The weather bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rainshowers.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon is light to moderate moving southeastward while it would be light to moderate moving in the southeast to south direction for the rest of the country.

The coastal waters in the country will be slight to moderate.

The sun will rise on Friday at 5:31 a.m. while sunset will be at 6:29 p.m. -- BAP, GMA News
