Cloudy skies, scattered rains, thunderstorms over Mindanao, western Visayas due to ITCZ

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Mindanao on Tuesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Mindanao and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ and that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur, however, during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern and central Luzon is light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

In the Visayas and the rest of Luzon, wind speed is likewise light to moderate moving in the east to southeast while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

Wind speed in Mindanao is light moving from the southeast to a variable direction while coastal waters will remain slight.

The sun will rise at about 5:45 a.m. and set by 6:03 p.m. -- BAP, GMA News
