Bicol Region, Samar provinces will have cloudy skies, scattered rains due to the trough of the LPA


A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was located in southern Luzon embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), which would be affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao on Thursday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

The Bicol Region and Samar provinces will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the Trough of the LPA, which was estimated at 965 kilometers east of southern Luzon.

The weather bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur int eh affected areas during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for the Visayas and the eastern section of Luzon is light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

For the rest of Luzon, wind speed is light and moving in the northeast to north while coastal waters will remain slight.

In Mindanao, the wind speed forecast is also light but moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters remain slight.
