Tropical Depression Marce is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday, while a low pressure area (LPA) is forecast to bring rains over Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

At 3 a.m., Marce's eye was located 1,300 km east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h.

Marce is almost stationary at 3 a.m., but is expected to exit PAR on Monday morning or afternoon, PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB.

Meanwhile, at 3 a.m., the LPA was located 75 km northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. It is not expected to intensify and may in fact dissolve on Tuesday, Aurelio said.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate in Luzon and Visayas, and slight in Mindanao.

Sunrise will be at 5:45 a.m. while sunset will be at 5:53 p.m. —KG, GMA News
