Cloudy skies, isolated rains over Cagayan Valley, CAR, Ilocos due to Northeasterly Surface Windflow


Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Ilocos Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to Northeasterly Surface Windflow, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Metro Manila and parts the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorm with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

As of 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the center of Tropical Storm Rolly (International name: Goni) was estimated at 450 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph and moving westward at 15 kph. 

Meanwhile, the center of Tropical Storm Siony  (International name: Atsani) was estimated at 595 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 and remains almost stationary.

The Northeasterly Surface Windflow, meanwhile, will be affecting Northern Luzon.

Wind speed forecast for northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The western section of central and southern Luzon will have moderate to strong wind speed moving to the southwest to southeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

For the rest of Luzon, wind speed forecast is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will have slight to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
