Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Davao Region, Caraga due to the Tail-end of a Frontal System


The northeast monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas while the Tail-End of Frontal System (Shear line) will be affecting the eastern sections of Mindanao on Tuesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Davao Region and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to the Tail-end of a Frontal System (Shear line) with possible flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

In meteorology, in the American Meteorological Society website, defines a shear line as a line or narrow zone across which there is an abrupt change in the horizontal wind component parallel to this line or a line of maximum horizontal wind shear.

Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers Localized Thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.

Mindanao will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
