Northeast monsoon to bring cloudy skies, light rains over Cagayan Valley, CAR


The northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon while the easterlies will be affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao on Thursday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms and easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.

The wind speed forecast for Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
