Easterlies to bring clouds, rains over Metro Manila, rest of the country

Easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific region, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said on Saturday.

In its 4 a.m. daily bulletin, the state weather bureau said the easterlies will also affect Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao region.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front will be experienced in mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora and Benguet.

The northeast monsoon or amihan will prevail over the Ilocos region, Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

Residents in these areas are warned against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at time heavy rains.—LDF, GMA News
