Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over Cagayan Valley, CAR


Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with rains on Sunday due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur during moderate to heavy rains.

The monsoon is also affecting Ilocos Region and Central Luzon and will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the area.

The easterlies or winds from the east will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorm over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region. Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas, with wave heights reaching up to 4 meters.

Meanwhile, coastal waters in the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate.
