Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over Cagayan Valley, CAR


The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) affecting Northern Luzon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region on Monday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to heavy rains.

The Ilocos Region meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon.

The easterlies or winds from the east will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Visayas, Bicol Region, Calabarzon, MIMAROPA and Aurora.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly occur.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern and Central Luzon, with waves reaching as high as 4 meters.

The seas will also be moderate to rough in Southern Luzon, with wave height up to 2.8 meters.

In Visayas and Mindanao meanwhile, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Sunrise will be at 6:09 a.m. while sunset will be at 5:26 p.m. —KG, GMA News
