Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao to have scattered rains due to LPA, ITCZ
A low pressure area and the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.
These areas may have flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.
The Bicol Region, Quezon, and the rest of MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a frontal system. Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to heavy rains.
Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and the rest of CALABARZON meanwhile will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan). Flash floods or landslides may be possible during moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.
The LPA was estimated to be located at 3 a.m. at 100 km southwest of Cotabato City, embedded along the ITCZ which is affecting Mindanao and Palawan.
The tail-end of a frontal system (Shear Line) is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Luzon, with waves reaching up to 4 meters.
Meanwhile, in Visayas and Mindanao seaboards, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
