LPA to bring scattered rainshowers, thunderstorms over NCR, 9 areas

A low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and nine other areas, according to PAGASA on Tuesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said other affected areas include CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Visayas, the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Zambales, and Bataan.

PAGASA warned against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

At 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the LPA was estimated at 130 kilometers east-northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms may prevail over the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible.

The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25°C at 5 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 31.3°C at 11 a.m. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
