Cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas due to ITCZ


A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 405 kilometers west of Coron, Palawan embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) on Saturday will bring cloudy skies, rainshowers over Luzon and Visayas, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Wind speed forecast for extreme Northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving in the east to northeast with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of northern Luzon will have light to moderate moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to southeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
