Trough of Typhoon Nyatoh to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Visayas, Mindanao, part of Palawan


The northeast monsoon will continue to affect Luzon on Saturday, according to PAGASA in its early morning forecast.

Typhoon Nyatoh remains outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) located 1,960 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour and gustiness up to 230 kph and moving northeastward at 45 kph.

Visayas, Mindanao, and the southern portion of Palawan including Kalayaan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of Typhoon Nyatoh with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and northern Quezon including Polillo Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to north while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
