Eastern Visayas, 8 areas will have cloudy skies, rains due to the shear line, trough of the LPA


The shear line will be affecting the eastern sections of southern Luzon and the Visayas on Wednesday while the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect northern and central Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Eastern Visayas, the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Caraga, Davao Region, Aklan, Capiz, Quezon, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line / trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the shear line / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern and central Luzon is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
