LPA to bring scattered rain showers over Metro Manila, Visayas, 4 other areas

A low-pressure area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Visayas, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Central Luzon, and Isabela, PAGASA said Monday.

According to the state weather bureau's 4 p.m. weather bulletin, the LPA was spotted 150 kilometers west of Abucay, Bataan at 3 p.m.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains in areas affected by the LPA.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Residents in affected areas were advised against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The whole archipelago will experience light to moderate wind speeds, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate, with waves ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters high. — Mel Matthew Doctor/BM, GMA News
