PAGASA: LPA, Habagat to bring rains across the country

A low pressure area and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring rains across the archipelago, state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.

The LPA was last seen in the vicinity of Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan at 3 p.m., PAGASA said in its 4 p.m. weather bulletin.

The LPA and the Southwest Monsoon are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region, Western and Central Visayas, the Zamboanga Peninsula, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Isabela, and mainland Cagayan.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Habagat and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public against possible flash floods or landslides.

Forecast wind speeds across the country will be light to moderate, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:41 a.m. on Saturday. —Sundy Locus/VBL, GMA News
