All signals lifted as Obet moves over West Philippine Sea
All Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) numbers were lifted as Tropical Depression Obet moves westward over the West Philippine Sea, PAGASA said Saturday.
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Obet is unlikely to bring heavy rainfall over any portion of the country.
However, a marine gale warning remains in effect over the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon under the influence of the surge of the Northeast Monsoon and the tropical depression.
PAGASA said Obet is forecast to continue moving westward in the next 12 hours and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this Saturday afternoon.
The center of Obet was estimated based on all available data at 240 km west of Basco, Batanes (20.1 °N, 119.7 °E )
Moving westward at 20 km/h, it has maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. —Jamil Santos/KG, GMA News
