Trough of LPA to bring scattered rains over parts of north Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao


At 3 a.m. on Friday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 610 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as the shear line will be affecting Northern Luzon, PAGASA reported.

Mindanao, Visayas, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, and Batangas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the north to northwest direction while coastal waters will be rough.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be light to moderate.

The wind speed for the Visayas and Mindanao will be light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
