LPA to bring rain over Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan


At 3 a.m. on Wednesday, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 195 kilometers south of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan that will also affect Visayas and Mindanao as the northeast monsoon or amihan will bring rain over parts of Luzon, PAGASA reported.

Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains also due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
