Amihan to bring cloudy skies over parts of Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon is affecting parts of Northern and Central Luzon, while the rest of the country is being affected by the easterlies.

According to PAGASA's daily weather report at 4 p.m. Tuesday, the easterlies may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, and Southern Leyte.

The Northeast Monsoon, meanwhile, may cause cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and Aurora, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may affect Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides in these areas as a result of the weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao may experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:23 a.m. on Wednesday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
