Amihan, easterlies to affect parts of PH

Cloudy skies with rains due to Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and easterlies will be affecting parts of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday afternoon.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast, the easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Caraga, Davao Oriental, and Davao de Oro.

The Northeast Monsoon may bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Northern Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Visayas and Mindanao, meanwhile, will be having partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters may be felt over Luzon and Visayas, while Mindanao is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6 a.m. on Friday.—Jiselle Anne Casucian/AOL, GMA Integrated News
