Scattered rain expected over central, eastern PH

Cloudy skies with scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected across the Visayas, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the Davao Region, as well as in the provinces of Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon due to the effects of a shear line, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rain over the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora, while the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers.

In Mindanao, the easterlies will bring cloudy conditions with scattered rain and thunderstorms over Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, while the rest of the island group will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned that flash floods or landslides could occur in areas affected by heavy rainfall.

Strong winds and rough coastal conditions are expected in the northern and eastern sections of Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas will prevail over the rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Temperatures are expected to range from 23.4°C to 30.8°C.
