‘Danger level’ heat index forecast for 25 areas on Monday, April 14, 2025

NAIA Pasay City and 24 other areas in the country are facing a “danger level” heat index on Monday, PAGASA said in its daily forecast.
According to its 5 p.m. April 13 bulletin, the state weather bureau said a heat index as high as 43°C is expected to be monitored by its synoptic stations in:
- NAIA Pasay City
- ISU Echague, Isabela
- Sangley Point, Cavite City
- Dagupan City, Pangasinan
- Tuguegarao City, Cagayan
- Cubi Pt., Subic Bay, Olongapo City
- San Ildefonso, Bulacan
- Ambulong, Tanauan Batangas
- San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
- Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte
PAGASA also said these synoptic stations could measure a 42°C heat index:
- Baler (Radar), Aurora
- Iba, Zambales
- CLSU Muñoz, Nueva Ecija
- TAU Camiling, Tarlac
- Hacienda Luisita, Tarlac City
- Puerto Princesa City, Palawan
- Cuyo, Palawan
- Virac (Synop), Catanduanes
- Iloilo City
- Dumangas, Iloilo
- La Granja, La Carlota, Negros Occidental
- Catarman, Northern Samar
- Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur
- General Santos City, South Cotabato
- Butuan City, Agusan del Norte
PAGASA categorizes areas with a 42°C to 51°C heat index under the danger category, where heat stroke is a potential risk.
