16 areas placed under 'danger level' heat index on Good Friday, April 18, 2025

Residents in at least 16 areas nationwide are advised to take extra precautions as they are expected to experience "danger level" heat index on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, the state weather bureau PAGASA said. 

The following areas may experience  42°C to 43°C heat based on forecast:

• ISU Echague, Isabela - 43°C
• Sangley Point, Cavite City, Cavite - 43°C
• NAIA, Pasay City - 42°C
• Aparri, Cagayan - 42°C
• Tuguegarao City, Cagayan - 42°C
• Baler (Radar), Aurora - 42°C
• Iba, Zambales - 42°C
• Cubi Point, Subic Bay, Olongapo City - 42°C
• San Ildefonso, Bulacan - 42°C
• Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas - 42°C
• Infanta, Quezon - 42°C
• San Jose, Occidental Mindoro - 42°C
• Roxas City, Capiz - 42°C
• Dumangas, Iloilo - 42°C
• Catarman, Northern Samar - 42°C
• Cotabato City, Maguindanao - 42°C
• NAIA, Pasay City - 42°C
• PAGASA warned that dangerous levels of heat index may cause heat cramps and heat exhaustion. Heat stroke is also probable with continued exposure to heat.
