Two or three cyclones may be in PAR in July 2025, PAGASA says

Two or three cyclones may be formed inside or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this month of July 2025, PAGASA said, according to a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday.

PAGASA said these cyclones have a chance of making landfall in Visayas or Central Luzon or pass near Batanes.

The cyclones also have a chance to change track but these will enhance the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

July usually has more cyclones, PAGASA said.

On Tuesday, the weather bureau is monitoring a low pressure area near Quezon which has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression. —KG, GMA Integrated News
