Rains to persist over PH due to Habagat

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will continue to bring rains over the country on Wednesday, PAGASA said in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin.

Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands will have occasional rains, and residents are warned against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Antique, Aklan, and the rest of Cagayan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will likely see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

As of 2 a.m., PAGASA said a Low Pressure Area is still being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility and is "unlikely" to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours. —LDF/KG, GMA Integrated News
