Orange rainfall warning raised over Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga
PAGASA on Tuesday 2 p.m. raised an orange rainfall warning over Zambales, Bataan, and Pampanga.
Aside from threatening floods, an orange rainfall warning means 15 to 30 millimeters of rain are expected over the affected areas and may persist in the next two hours.
Meanwhile, a yellow rainfall warning was hoisted over Metro Manila, Tarlac, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Laguna.
A yellow rainfall warning means flooding is threatening, particularly in the flood-prone areas of the said cities and provinces. Residents in the said areas may also experience 7.5 to 15 millimeters of rain that could continue for the next three hours, according to PAGASA.
PAGASA also said that light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting Nueva Ecija and Quezon may persist within three hours.
Three low pressure areas are currently being monitored by PAGASA inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
As of 8.a.m. Tuesday, July 22, PAGASA said the LPA located 1,140 km east of Central Luzon has a high chance of becoming a tropical depression in the next four hours.
The other LPA located 225 kilometers east of southeast Basco, Batanes still has a medium chance of becoming a tropical depression in the next four hours.
Meanwhile, a new LPA was spotted outside the PAR, which PAGASA said has a medium chance to become a tropical depression in the next 24 hours. —Vince Angelo Ferreras
