Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 7 Luzon areas

Metro Manila and seven areas in Luzon are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Thursday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 3:54 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the following areas will experience bad weather within the next two hours: 

• Metro Manila,
• Nueva Ecija, 
• Bulacan, 
• Pampanga, 
• Bataan, 
• Cavite, 
• Laguna, and 
• Batangas.

Meanwhile, the following areas experiencing moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds: 

• Rizal (Rodriguez, Antipolo, Tanay), 
• Zambales (Masinloc, Candelaria, Palauig, San Marcelino, Subic, Santa Cruz),
• Tarlac (San Jose, Mayantoc, San Clemente, Camiling, Santa Ignacia), 
• Quezon (General Nakar). 

It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
