Cloudy skies, rains expected in Bicol, parts of VisMin due to LPA's trough

The trough of the low pressure area will continue to bring rain to several parts of the country.

In PAGASA's Saturday afternoon forecast, it said the LPA was spotted 520 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, at 3 p.m.

The LPA's trough will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region. 

MIMAROPA, the rest of Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms because of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). 

Localized thunderstorms will prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to these weather systems.

Winds and coastal waters will be moderate in Luzon. Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected in Visayas and Mindanao.
