PAGASA says two to four cyclones may enter PAR in October
At least two or up to four tropical cyclones may be expected to enter or be formed inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this October, state weather bureau PAGASA said Sunday.
"Papunta na nga tayo sa buwan ng Oktubre at ang inaasahan natin na dami ng bagyo na maaaring mabuo o papasok ng Philippine Area of Responsibility, mga dalawa o apat na bagyo.," DOST-PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said in a public weather forecast.
(We are approaching the month of October and we are expecting the number of tropical cyclones to be formed or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility to be two or four.)
Most of the country will have generally fair weather on Sunday as the easterlies or the winds from the Pacific prevail, he said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is affecting offshore Palawan, particularly the Kalayaan Group of Islands, Badrina said.
Badrina further said the weather will be generally fair for most of the country from Monday up to Tuesday, although thunderstorms may occur in Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and the Bicol Region due to the easterlies.
On Wednesday and Thursday, there is a bigger chance for clouds to form in Eastern Visayas, the Bicol Region and Cagayan Valley, he added. Thunderstorms may occur in the afternoons and evenings. —KG, GMA Integrated News
