Cloudy skies, rain as easterlies to persist in PH

Generally fair weather is expected to continue on Monday as the easterlies persist over most of the country, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.

Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. daily weather forecast, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be observed in Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies.

These severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides.

As of 2 p.m., the state weather bureau said no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.

State meteorologists also said winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the whole country.
