Thunderstorm advisory up over 5 Luzon provinces

Parts of five provinces in Luzon are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Thursday morning.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 5:26 a.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the following areas will be affected within the next two hours:

• Bulacan (Dona Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray),  
• Rizal (Rodriguez, Tanay, Antipolo), 
• Laguna (Santa Maria, Siniloan, Famy, Pangil, Mabitac, Pakil, Paete, Kalayaan, Calamba), 
• Nueva Ecija (General Tinio, Gabaldon) and 
• Batangas (Calatagan, Lian).

Meanwhile, General Nakar in Quezon is currently experiencing moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds. 

It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

PAGASA advised affected residents to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
